A few bow models from the entire bow market require special adapters when using our bow presses. Below are the adapters we offer. Some are required, and some are only recommended.
*3” Block & Pin Kits -
As compound bow limbs measure wider and wider, i.e., 2024 Mathews target/hunting bows. Your bow press fingers have to spread wider to accommodate. The 3" Block Kit is for any LCA bow press that's "copper" in color, and the 3" Pin Kit is for both "green" and "pack-n-go" press models. This kit includes the parts needed to make your base where the fingers mount spread to 3” instead of 2.5”. Any LCA press sold after August 3rd, 2023, would have wider blocks straight from our factory.
*Limb Lock Kit (Standard/Ultimate) -
HOYT— Defiant, Hyper Edge, Double XL (2016/2017). Also, the Hoyt Ventum, due to the large cam size, works well inside this adapter kit.
BEAR— Attack and Carnage
PSE— Stealth Mach 1 and any OMEN model from PSE
ELITE — Envision, Omnia, Ritual 30, Option 6, and Option 7
ATHENS — Vista 31, 33, and 35. Peak 38
OBSESSION — Several Obsession bow models would use this adapter kit.
*MINI Xbow Adapter
This adapter is built only for our crossbow-compatible bow presses. Once installed, it allows your press to compress down to 4.5” axle-to-axle length instead of the standard 11” minimum your press will already do. Perfect for pressing many Ravin and TenPoint crossbows on the market that are less than 11” axle to axle length.
*Mathews Finger Set
The Mathews Finger Set has been explicitly designed to fit Mathews and Mission bows. Each finger base is ¾” wide aluminum for better stability and pressing support. Adjust the fingers using included thumb screws so that the fingers match the limb angles and don’t cause any additional stress. 1” wide custom-designed fingertips fit all versions of the Mathews “Limb Support Caps” to allow for safe and easy pressing. Whether pressing the bow just enough to install a peep or performing a complete bow rebuild, these custom fingers make the process a breeze. As you press, the broad 1” fingertip width gives maximum support for the limbs to reduce torque. The underside of the fingertip includes the Mission Cradle to press certain Mission bows that do not have “Limb Support Caps.” The Mathews Finger Set is recommended for all Mathews and Mission compound bows.

By upgrading, you'd remove the narrow 2.5" blocks and install wider 3" blocks to help accommodate wider limb compound bow models hitting the market. WARNING:
If you have an LCA bow press, always tighten your press block bolts periodically. If the bolts holding the blocks onto the bow press are loose, it can cause the bolts to become damaged. For the bolts to have full strength, they must be tight. You can tighten the bolts by removing the metal spring from the press block. The two bolts will reveal themselves underneath once you remove the spring. It's crucial to check these bolts periodically to ensure they are tight.

The Limb Lock Kit is a perfect addition to any LCA bow press and is designed specifically for pressing beyond parallel limb bows. The Limb Locks are foam-covered rollers that act as a safety to hold the bow from slippage when pressing beyond parallel models. These are adjustable depending on the bow model you are pressing. The Limb Lock Fingers use a rotating head design which keeps the limbs of your bow fully enclosed no matter the angle of the limbs as you press the bow. Each finger is rubber coated to protect the bow limbs from being scratched, and you can adjust all four fingers in/out and forward/back to match any limb angle or design.

*MINI Xbow Adapter Information:
When you receive your product you should receive everything shown in this image below. The adapter, with the aluminum block installed, as well as two stainless steel pins that install through the adapter. NOTE: LCA fingers are not sold with the adapter. You will use the fingers that are already installed on your LCA bow press.
You’ll remove the pins from inside the adapter, slide the adapter over the body of the press, and then slide the pins back in place. The adapter goes over the main body of the press, in front of the right press arm, as shown in the image below. Then you install the pins which then lock the adapter in place and keep it from moving. Ensure you slide the adapter up against the right press arm before you press your bow. The adapter rests against the right press arm to keep it in place. The pins keep the adapter locked onto the body of the press, and then the right press arm keeps the adapter from moving once pressure is added from your bow.

To use the MINI Xbow Adapter on the Ultimate EZ Deluxe you’ll just simply install the adapter in between the mounting bolts where the press mounts to the rotating pivot. See the images below for reference as to what your adapter looks like installed.
The MINI Xbow Adapter can’t be used on the Pack-N-GO (Xbow & Ultimate) presses
This adapter can only be used on LCA bow presses that are already made to press crossbows. As in, the Ultimate EZ, Ultimate EZ Deluxe, and EZ Green Xbow Presses. You can’t use this adapter on a standard compound bow press for pressing crossbows. The standard compound only bow presses are not built to withstand the higher poundage crossbows and pressing a crossbow in say, the EZ Green, could cause major issues with your press and can result in injury to you or damage to your equipment.
*Standard - Limb Adapter Set Information:
(This set was discontinued in 2023 and replaced by the Limb Lock Kit)
Step #1.
You should have 4 different limb adapter pieces in your package. Attach each limb adapter piece to the four different limbs on your split limb bow. See the below image.
Step #3.
It is not recommended to press your bow in this form while using the Limb Adapter Set. Please refer to the next image for the correct way to insert your bow into the press fingers with the adapter set installed.
Step #2.
Rotate the small black locking level to ensure the adapter is locked into place and can’t move. See the below image as a reference for what the finished installation should look like.
Step #4.
Put the tips of your bow press fingers into the small half moon cut outs. Ensure you adjust your fingers so that they are all four pressing evenly onto the adapters. This will allow you to press your extremely far “beyond parallel” limb bow safely.
